Title. This is my current AB+ modified setting using BRS recommended setting. I personally hate it because it’s extremely white.

My tank for the most part is SPS dominated so
I’m trying to see what else people are running. I feel like I’m a slave to this setting because of my tank size and PAR output.

Xr15Pro Gen 5 and Red Sea 180

I use the exact same setting and feel the same way. Following

Yes I am aswell. I have 2 g5 pro over a tank and 2 g5 blue over another. Even blue does not seem very blue in ab+
I just switched to the EcoTech AB+ to see how the tank looks... my fear is by making the tank too blue im gonna lose out on par

Are you using ab+ or the modified ab+ because the modified is what I use and will be whiter then non modified

I was using the BRS one but that was too white for me. I switched today to the preloaded template

Ok I see. So by switch from modified version you will be losing some par because non modified is turning off the white. This can be compensated for by turning up the intensity a little.

Point intensity at 100% this is using the AB+ template

I put mine to 100% but i honestly dont know what that schedule is for
Point intensity allows you to control the intensity of each individual time point that you make where as schedule slider is an over all control of all of the time points in your graph.

So you would use the point intensity sliders to create sunrise and sunset by creating let’s say 30 minute intervals at each interval having the point intensity less and less or more and more depending on what you’re doing. Then you can use the schedule sliderTo overall raise or lower the par for your complete schedule

But with this being said sounds like your light is maxed out and you will not be able to get any more par unless Turning up the other color channels that you’re not using. This is why I chose the X 30s over the X 15. Better to have way too much and not have to use it then not enough And need it

All this said makes me want to go back to the BRS settings since they pump up the whites to 50% and warm white 24%
