Sharing my ICP results. High Tin?

Hello,
I recently had problems with some favias and chalices receding and some Acros having STN from the base up. Everything else was doing ok including all my euphyllias doing great. I decided to add activated carbon and to dose Flatworm STOP from KZ as I read around here it really helped a similar case. All my corals are doing much better now except for one chalice and one favia that were already in very bad shape, still crossing my fingers. Anyway, after one day of using activated carbon I took a sample and shipped it to Triton, I got these results and want to know your opinion specially with Tin as I didn’t have any on my las ICP and now it is “high?” The Lithium doesn’t really concern me as in my September ICP it came back at 900 and everything was doing fine.

Tin and Lithium are both used in batteries. Anything like that possibly fall in your sump?

No. Not at all. No batteries near my tank. My lithium was higher on my last icp, it was around 900. But no Tin that time.

There are lots of threads describing sources of tin, which can often apparently come from plastics where it is used as a stabilizer. Plastic tubing (including air line tubing and water hoses), for example can release a lot.

Few folks with tin at the level you show experience issues, so I'm not sure it is the cause of your problems, but it might be and lowering it to see if that helps is a fine plan.
