I want to than everyone who helped me on this beast. I sucked it up and put my big girl panties on and got it sanded and buffed back out. There is still some mild distortion in some areas on it but for the most part it came out great. I'm hoping once water is in it won't be noticeable. Anyway here's some pics of before, during, and after. Thanks to everybody that commented and gave me the confidence to try it.
I used 1000, 1500, 2000, and 3000 plus all three steps of Novus. Needless to say after two days I'm worn out. Plans to paint the stand next weekend and hopefully we'll be ready for water and to begin plumbing.
