So I am planning on getting a catshark for my 460g tank, but I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with keeping one. How do you go about your tank cleaning and maintenance? Is there much of a risk getting bitten by them doing work on the tank or feeding?

We keep coral catsharks in our touch tank, and no visitors have lost a finger yet! As long as you don’t put your finger next to their mouth, they won’t cause you any problems.

Please post pictures. This sounds super cool

I know them as banded cats and have an LFS which has a trio. If I recall, they are active at night and require cooler temperatures reaching 2 feet. They fed them whole fish which was swallowed whole and grass shrimp.
Jay is Lucky enough to have them at his finger tips (no pun intended)

Well the Coral Catsharks (Atelomycterus marmoratus) and other members of it's genus are true tropical reef catsharks. As they are usually found in fairly shallow water(3-20 feet) in the Indo-Pacific, where the water temperature are usually between 74-82 F. But most other true catsharks like the Chain Catshark, & Cloudy Catshark are cool water sharks(45-65F) and found in deeper waters (150-500 feet).

Ha! Temperament not temperature ;) I guess I am asking if I am going to get my fingies chomped on trying to do tank maintenance or feeding them

May be if you are hand feeding them. Even then it would like be a little nip. Generally Coral Catsharks usually have very good temperaments, and can even be target trained.
