Been looking for a bit now on the WWW for a pair of neon or sharknose gobies to start up in my 125 and possibly try to breed and raise. With no luck, looking to my fellow R2R members on a place to possibly get a pair, or possibly info on how to match a pair up. FYI, I tried with 2 sharknose recently with no luck. Even in my 125, the (what I believe) males found each other and didn't mix well. I purchased both from the LFS and they (at the time) stayed together in the 40 breeder so I took the chance on a possible pairing. Anyway, any help with getting a pair thru the WWW or how to possibly purchase 2 and not end up with to males. Thanks

probably best to buy a small group to increase the odds of 2 pairing up. i've done that a couple times and had good luck getting 1 or 2 pairs out of a group. Thatpetplace had them not too long ago. not sure if they're still in stock or not.

I am looking to do the same thing and found a vendor online that sells neon pairs. I'll post the link tomorrow. Something like carribean critters. I have no idea how he determines a pair. Was going to contact them this week to get more 411.

Reeftopia sells neons in pairs, he dives somewhere in southern Florida and shipping is really cheap you Floridian s

You will need to scroll down the page to see them offered. I am sure they are wild. I have never ordered from them before, but was planning to get a pair in the next 2-3 weeks.

Thanks BCT for another option, I will check them out too.

Saltgator, when are you planning to order? If you order before me would you mind updating or pm-ing me to let me know who you went with and how the pair was when they came in? I.e. if they were truly a pair. ;)

Well, they are very quick with response. Just sent them an email asking how they know they are a pair, they said that they are wild caught as a pair.

Haven't reached out to Reeftopia.

Emailed both this morning after reading posts. Only thing is neither could advise how much for Florida shipping to my zip. I'll look more tonight on my PC instead of smart phone (might have missed the shipping part in mobile view). Thanks

They quoted me $32 for shipping to Colorado overnight. My guess is that it would be significantly less than that. I know in CO if we ship UPS ground it gets there the next day same as overnight and that would probably be around $14 or so.
