Sharks!!

I want to move into try to keep coral cat sharks, but they are fairly expensive to just jump into and try to keep. Are there any fish out there that would be a good gateway fish into trying to keep sharks?

Do you really want sharks thou? For most part they do not very well in tanks, and can you afford a set up of that size that will allow them to flourish? Those sharks grow to 30 inches. That's a massive fish.

Imo, I think 300 is not enough for sharks. I think you can do so much more with that if you want to go the predator route. Just my 5 cents.

Try getting a shark egg first. They are less expensive and you get to watch them grow. My 3 yr old is 24 inches long.

I would suggest a common easy predator. Lionfish, searobin, moray eel, grouper, frogfish, etc.
