any thoughts on running the flipper’s blade gently against my grinder to lightly sharpen it again?

I know they sell replacement blades, but if they simply dull out, is there any harm just sharpening it myself? I don’t intend to make the edge into a razor because I don’t think the stock blades are very sharp — just a quick touch up.

Thoughts?

I don't see a problem if you kept the appropriate blade geometry although I've never tried it with a flipper. I do however work with metal alot and without the proper machining its an imperfect science as far nailing the angle correctly. Seems to me it is a risk vs reward issue and I wouldn't want to risk large scratches in my tank over a few dollar object.
