Our female clown spends about 23.5 hours hanging out in the anemone. The male only sleeps in it and then spends the rest of the day swimming just below it. When lights go out he goes right in.

Clowns don't do ANYTHING we would consider normal. In my 2 tanks, both with nems & clowns - in one tank male is constantly in the nem & female goes in a couple times a day. Whereas my other tank that has 10+ RBTA and 2 maroons (all 15+ years old) the clowns are barely seen unless it's feeding time.

As I said, clowns do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that we see as normal. IE: hosting overflow boxes, sleeping upright in a corner, hosting Duncans and other corals, the list in endless. Again this must be clown week, dozens of clown questions.

I wish my female would let my male clown in. He’s constantly swimming alone around the bottom of the nem

If & when they breed, it's his job to clear the area for the eggs, she lays them, then he guards & tends them.

Yup. Unfortunately they haven’t started
