Shedding sponge

Hello!

We have a purple photosynthetic sponge that had been doing great. We've noticed it shedding and developing holes...water parameters are good/unchanged. We have increased the white light on the Kessil for the anemones. Could lighting be the problem? Thanks for your help

I don't have experience with these sponges at this point, but if the only thing that changed is the lighting, then that would be my guess for any sudden issues.
