Shell changes color

I have a hermit crab shell that the hermit crab moved out of about a month ago now it's bright pink in black light. Does anyone know what happend to it?

Most likely coraline algae has covered it. Pretty normal and a good thing. It will help seed your tank with it another plus.

That bright pink? I will love if all my rocks get that pink.

You can get pink, purple, and red coraline. I have seen a few other colors but they usually do not stay.
