I purchased a sherry pipe organ from WWC a little over a year ago. It is growing out of control therefore I have to trim it back. I can not remove the rock from the tank. What is the best way to trim this coral? Is it toxic or will it hurt anything else in the tank if disturbed?
Does anyone know the email address for WWC? I could not find one on there website?

Propagation

Tubipora is a slower growing soft coral therefore it does not often come up to the chopping block. If you do have the opportunity to frag a pipe coral, it is fairly easy. You can snap apart polyps at their calcium base and simply glue the frags elsewhere. You can propagate with your hands, bone cutters and many various other tools.

It's like brittle sandstone. Maybe wear gloves so there's less chance of getting cut, and rip it out, them you can break it up into smaller pieces and sell or gift away the excess
