Shes got a doohicker.

So I've had 2 firefish for 10 months. They have gotten along fine and I've never seen them fight. They hang out together, and sleep wedged in the same hole in the rock. I assume at this point that they're a mated pair. Anyway the last couple weeks one has been getting fat. I was worried about internal parasites, but it kept acting normal, eating vigorously, etc. Now she is FAT. I mean shes smuggling a torpedo. And she has... a little white doohicker sticking down from her belly. Someone please tell me shes pregnant and not diseased? Yes I'm well aware of my hippie lawn of hair algae, sorry.

I'm not sure if firefish carry eggs or live birth like Molly's do. But it looks like that one may be carrying something.

She's gravid. The white nub is the ovipositor.
