I have a shipment coming in with shrimp, snails and fish. It got delayed a day by fedex.

I’m really hoping they all pull through but once I receive the package, anything special outside of regular acclimation you’d recommend?

My only advice is to move fast. If you are going to qt them have ro water on hand as well as made up saltwater, both heated so you can lower or raise the qt levels instantly. Once temps are a match, check the salinity, make changes quick then drop them in. That extra day in the bag will make things that much worse once you open the bags!

Ph would have probably dropped further and ammonia built up more. Ask the seller if they had any copper in the shipped water, if not, use any ammonia neutralizer (prime etc) with the fish in the still in its bag. If you can can test ph, even better. The lower the ph the slower the acclimation to avoid ammonia burn as much as possible.

I believe they do Medicate the water. I’m really hoping they are alive when I get them. I’ve got water, to, mixed, heated all ready to go .

let’s hope I get a shot at this
