Shipping an aquarium to Alaska

I currently have a mixed reef in a very old (1996!) and scratched 75 gallon aquarium (build thread in my sig). I've been contemplating upgrading for some time, unfortunately options are very limited here in Alaska. I haven't yet asked our one and only LFS what they could do for me. My only other option would be to have an aquarium delivered to Alaska Air Cargo in Seattle, then flown to Anchorage.

Question for the group:
Who packs their aquariums best to be able to survive multiple handing events?

I'm looking for a 60" rimless.

I'd say Red Sea or Waterbox would probably be your best best. You might also want to consider other options besides Alaska Air Cargo - ATC (Alaska Traffic Consolidated and PAF are two forwarders that many of my customers use to get stuff up to Alaska, though admittedly what we ship is not as fragile as a glass aquarium.

I'd start with your LFS, though - they might already have arrangements with Red Sea and Waterbox, and their rates would likely be lower than yours, so the shipping might not be so rough.

Thanks! I work for Alaska Airlines, so I can get discounted shipping.... I think... this would be a big/heavy item!!

Planet Aquariums was also recommended.

If my LFS can't do anything for me, I might be able to go to Barrier Reef in Renton and when the aquarium arrives, hop a flight and deliver it to Seatac.
