That gives some good pricing, but only compared USPS and DHL... I have done some shipping estimates lately and Fed Ex was like $65 for overnight priority, UPS was $60 for overnight to Fort Wayne, In. (not that far away...).

Shipping has gone up alot this year I shipped a 2# 8x8x8 box to OH with UPS and it was $60 when last year the same was around $45.

IMO DHL handles the boxes alot better, have gotten some damaged boxes in from UPS,all of the DHL boxes have been on time and without damage.

I would suggest a sticky for tools...plenty of calculators such as volume calculators, tank stand calculators, etc.

i think that deserves a sticky ;)

anyone else want it as a sticky?

Hey bro get me all the info you think would be good for us to have and I will add it to the home page. :D

Something else to remember when shipping - don't use a box any bigger than it has to be. If it's too big, cut it down. FedEx charges by what they call "dimensional weight" to allow for the space the package takes up on the aircraft. They use a formula of (L x W x H (in inches)) / 194 to calculate the "dimensional weight". You will pay for the *higher* of that weight rounded up to the next pound *or* the actual weight of the package.

As an example, if I ship an empty cardboard box measuring 12 x 12 x 7, I'll pay for 6 pounds!

I use 6x6x6 most of the time. Most of the time i am under 2 pounds. But when i have a bigger order i have to go to 12x10x10.

Ive had the best success shipping with USPS and they are the cheapest out there believe or not.(for reg members that only ship few boxes ) I found shipping Monday thru Thursday is the best.

Ive used fedex ,ups and dhl , and had nothing but problems with them. just my experience
