shipping inverts, how long can they survive?

I bought a bunch of brittle stars and some crabs and pepermint shrimp and a pistol shrimp. They were shipped 1 week and 4 days ago and there're still not here. USPS priority mail was used and the post office says just wait longer! Any chance when these get here that they might be alive? Thanks

Priority mail? Like normal mail? Theyre going to be dead I bet. Overnight only IMHO

Yup, I would contact whoever you got them from and see if you can be compensated, cuz they are proly dead by now

definitely dead by now i wouldn't leave anything in those bags longer than 2 days

I asked about faster shipping but the shipping was included in the price and I thought the would have shipped it express, so I guess I got screwed.

yeah they probably aren't still alive. I've had inverts shipped and been delayed 3 days. They did mostly alright but... a week and a half is a very long time

The inverts got here and some star fish and crabs made it!! Should I put them in the tank or are they diseased from the almost 2 weeks in the mail?

Do as Alex suggested. Then pull out the live ones and take a photo of the dead ones in the bag!

Ok, there in the tank and seem to be ok, every shrimp I bought died in transit though!
