Which shipping company would you choose between Fed Ex and UPS? Fed Ex is about 30% higher than UPS. Is it worth the extra 30% to ship with Fed Ex?

Both have goods and bads. I just switched to UPS due to issues I had with fed ex last year. I ship 98% of my packages ground. I shipped two overnight orders on my account from a vendor to me. Fed Ex screwed up both. They will claim weather on almost every problem. Even if there is not a single cloud in the entire country. It is never their fault. I have not done enough with UPS to give you an honest opinion. But I have not had any recent issues with UPS to date.

its all relative.

i use fedex for everything and have a rather good track record. never had a lost package and maybe about 1 out of every 50 is a bit late. i am happy with the service. i'm sure you will find just as many people that hate fedex as you can UPS. i think they are both very comparable

Ive used both but mostly use UPS because there alot closer to me. Never had a issue with either. Im shipping a overnight package (coral) today with UPS. Ive only had one package ever show up late when Ive odered live goods and it was 5hrs late and that was with Fedex. I only had 2 packages not show up on the day they were suppose to and one was with DHL and the other USPS

I have been using Fedex with no issue at all. I do receive live shipment from UPS and never had problem either. I vote for both. Just don't go with USPS. they suck.

Fedex priorty all day! Delivered by 10:30am anywhere

I have shipped a few corals/skimmer's all kinds of stuff without any problems..

currently, I use Fed Ex.. if you have an account with them, you get around 15% - 20% for Priority Overnight... I just like FedEx coz the package gets there in the am...

I've used UPS also before and didn't have an issue... I'm sure they also offer some kind of discount for having an account with them... I'm 15-20 mins away from FedEx hub so I can wait til 9pm to ship my stuff....

Thanks for all the great input guys. I have a few packages to ship so I might try them both out to see which one will be best for future shipment. I work in the shipping department and I see packages come in from UPS all beat up about 50% of the time and when we get packages from Fed Ex 90% of the time the package looked to be well cared for. What to do.......
