Shock! Faulty heater...

I just put my hand into the tank and got a shock...

My fish seems ok... but I am still worried... I removed the heater immediately. How much damage was done to the fish? No casualty...

If they're still acting normal they should be fine.

How do you know it is the heater? Have you put your hand in the tank since removing the heater?

Yes I tested each equipment one by one... gives me a heart attack everytime I try sticking my fingers in...

Most likely the fish didn't get zapped, the circuit grounded when you put your hand in and took the brunt of the zap. Your fish should be fine...

Well the last time I put my hand in before realizing it was a faulty heater was 3 days ago. So the fish were being shocked for 3 days?

its actually not shocking them, they cannot ground out at all so they just keep swimming none the wiser.... if the fish are swimming then your fine.. no big deal in the end, glad your alright though, getting shocked sucks

I llike to check my water with my multi meter to make sure theres no electricity leaching, I usually check when doing my water changes every two weeks and enough time while the water is pumping in or out.
