Shoot me.

Good luck :)

Was just trying to help , glad you have it... there is proportion of phosphates and nitrates but sorry to hinder your help

U didnt hinder anything. All good.

Was feeling lazy and didnt feel like combing pages of posts. So I made my own shortcut

I notice you have a lot of unique rockwork and not a ton of water movement. A lot of detritus can get built up in the holes in the rocks in that situation. An easy and free approach that might help is to blow the rocks off very well with a power head every couple weeks.

Alright... I'll grab some emeralds and try to keep them alive and give vibrant a shot.

Should I give chemi-pure a shot before vibrant or does vibrant strip po4 as well?
I found ROWAphos to be very effective at dropping po4. Actually can strip it too quickly if not careful

I had to set this tank up in a hurry to save my corals while it ran fallow due to an ich/velvet outbreak 4 months ago.

Theres a cheap 3400gph dual powerhead in the center facing forward but each jet is angled left and right to the front corners, and then theres 2 nanos in each rear corner facing down the back to the middle again.

I have 2 new xf250 gyres ready, just gotta get the advanced controller to run them. Paying the price still for my lack of a quarantine regiment when I first started, which is now in place since the incident.

Will update when I decide which po4 stripper I'm gonna utilize.

Help. It's been 2 months I've been battling this stuff. What is it and I'm ready to give up on natural methods and begin dosing to be done with it.

Thanks in advance,

Lotta talk about nutrients but ,
Does that stuff blow off ? Seems to have bubbles.
Stuff Like bryopsis doesn’t care what nubers are.

What are you feeding the coral. Aminos ? Coral food ?

Be aware that vibrant is likely to take out your Refugium.

Corals get Aquavitro Fuel, PhytoFeast, and reefroids mixed together and target fed only. Once every 8days or so.

The stuff comes off with 1 pass of a tooth brush. Isnt clingy at all. But comes back as if it has rooted in the rock. Idk... first time dealing with this.

My hotb chaeto fuge I can simply unhook the pump and its seperated. A full sump will be incorporated by springtime.

Hopefully I can strip po4 down to under .1 and get the xf250's running by next week.

And then we shall see how it reacts.

Stop feeding that coral food. You could be dealing with a simple cyano , spirulina would come to mind. Those can process and absorb Aminos directly.
