Anybody have a work around the glass distortion from curved glass?

I’m trying to shoot with my Nikon 60mm macro on my D810 at a 5g bowefront/half moon.

Yes, I have a small 24 gallon half Moon tank and having same issue, unfortunately it's a little tricky I haven't figured it out. Bummer

I have a bow front tank. There are a couple things you can do to minimize the distortion through the front curved glass although you can’t completely eliminate it. If you place the lens on the glass so it as perpendicular as possible, it makes for a better focused and less distorted shot. Also the closer the coral is to the front of the glass, the better result.

Regardless, curved glass always has distortion. Although I take an occasional through the front glass, I find it preferable to use a top down viewer like avast or buildinganobsession camera tube and simply avoid the curved glass altogether. If I had to do it all over, I’d never get a bowed or curved glass tank because the photography is so compromised.

Yeah unfortunately I’m trying to photograph fish and not coral. Maybe I should transfer to my fluval sea just for photos. Bleh!! Lol
