I broke my last phone and shopping for a new phone now.
I'm lost with all these new and super expensive phones.
Does it worth buying something like the new Samsung Note 20 Ultra? What about the Pixel 4 XL? Does anyone have those? How they perform under blue lights? Do they allow white balance adjustment? How close do the colors come true?
My last phone (dead now) was an S8 and had white balance adjustment up to 10 k, but that was not even close to enough.
Any input?
Would I be better getting a cheaper phone and DSLR?
Thanks

I have a Pixel 3xl and like the results.

with a cell phone you can get decent shots, provided you use a filter or an app that mimics.
If you want to get those amazing macro shots high def, you need a DSLR with a macro lens.

Cool, yeah I heard good things about the pixel phones, and nothing like a reefer to say how is the camera with our blue lights. how true are the colors? I was able to take nice pics with the s8, but the colors were not close to reality. The pic looked nice, but for 1/2 of the animals the colors would not be true to reality. Something that only who took the pics could say.

Shoot in raw, and correct your white balance afterwards. You can the get the true colors back in post processing

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra , Galaxy S10+. They will have great cameras. But there should be a DSLR too. :)

+1 on Samsung galaxy S20 ultra.

Galaxy note 20 5G ultra here.

I'm very impressed with the camera and ability to process the photo after taking the shot. White balance is available and gets used quite a bit with taking aquarium pics to filter out the blue.

Had an s8+ previously, and the note 20 is far superior in taking aquarium pics.

In reality, no phone camera will get you the shots your looking for. You need a quality DSLR for that.

Hi DO you have the pictures taken with the Samsung Note 20 Ultra? I'm just about to order the phone. I'm jumping from S8+ to Note 20 Ultra.

Note 20ultra and these are not the 8k pics as the site won't allow that large of a picture to upload.

I also have not doctored these just added the orange icecap lens.
