Hello,
Just a quick question. I have an LED light that I believe would work well for my tank but it is 30 cm long and my tank is 45cm long. The extensions on the base(light) are not quite long enough to reach the edge of my tank but I can do something to make that work( hang it or “manually” extend the extenders). I understand that light can spread out but my question is, will my aquarium suffer from a light that is physically smaller (though should be strong enough for my light coral needs)than the length of the tank?

(in hindsight this may be a difficult question with all info given bit any info would help. Thanks)

As long as the light does the work of allowing you to see the tank and you understand that you will have significantly lower par on the ends I don't see why it would cause harm.

You may need to also raise it up for coverage which would reduce overall par as well.

Great thanks !
