Short notice QT setup

I've been buying pre-quarantined fish so I don't have an active QT. Until tonight when I bought something from DD.

I have 7-8 pounds of rock in my sump and a spare 10 gallon. Any downside to using the sump rock to setup an instant QT? I realize the rock won't be going back into the sump

No problem with this but a couple of considerations. You already know you won’t be putting it right back in the sump when done but if you are planning on medicating you will have to remove that rock before treating, good luck.
