315 gallon display. Problem is the stand is pretty low and I only have about 25" from the bottom of the sump to the bottom of the stand to fit a skimmer. I thought about a skimz sm252 external skimmer but might have the same problem getting the drain height above the sump.
Any advice? Know of any larger shorter skimmers?

I've used a couple tunze 90012 before, I think it only requires a 10 or 11" water line or something like that. It's not very tall.
Oh yeah that's the other problem the water level is like 10" in the sump. So that might work, I'll look into it.

Traditional skimmer shape
Can look at eshopps.

I also have a tight cabinet and use the eshopps x-160 which has a total height of 20”
Enough room to still be able to take off the cup. And tilt the body with cup off so can take out of my sump.

Will say changing my socks out does leave a bit to be desired lol. As on my trigger sump the socks are behind my skimmer.

So another idea that I've been tossing around. Could my current small skimmer be sufficient if I plan to do a large chaeto fudge and a rollermat? This is going to be an sps dominant tank.

You could honestly go no skimmer if you wanted, it's not a requirement. If you have a skimmer and a fuge you're good.
