Should coral be taken out when adding arag alive sand.

So I was going with a bare bottom tank. I have 50lbs live rock in system. Once I added fish I got an ammonia spike. Only added clown fish and wrasse. So my question is since adding sand water has clouded up alot. It is the carib

sea live sand. Should I remove the corals and place in a bucket? Really dont wanna lose the pieces I got. Only have 5 and an anemone. Any help appreciated!

It should clear up in a few hours or overnight.
The corals should be ok.

I added sand after being bare bottom for about 3 months, I didn't take any corals out and it cleared up in about 2 days. After the first 24hrs I was able to see in and check the live stock. I cleaned all my lps to get rid of the particals that had settled on them and I had no losses or damage. Did go through a few filter pads tho

No problem. As soon as you have enough clarity to see in have a look at your tank inhabitants to see how they are. I also ran fresh carbon just as a precaution

I have been stressing since I have gotten them. The rose bubble tip anemone has gone to hide under my live rock. My torch hasnt opened up all the way. The zoas are doing good. Acan doing good but the pipe organ has kinda closed up. Maybe sometimes you just got to let it go. Been playing with flow and placement im just gonna let it clear up and let them settle in. I read all the threads that say let them go for a few days and I just couldnt do it myself. Well im gonna step back and let it happen. This site is great!! Thanks for all the help!!

Yep best thing you can do is sit back and let it clear up. I do not suggest moving power heads as you are changing the direction of flow and it cant settle as quick and you can really see good enough to tell if you are putting to much flow on something. Just sit back and enjoy the sandstorm

I couldn't stand to look at my tank when I added the sand so I put a towel around and left it for 24hrs or so. The coral will pull through, one of my acans closed up for 3 days but is fine now. Fingers crossed, but you should be right.
