Should i accept it

Some of you may have read about my problems getting my rock. Gulf Prime Rock shipped my rock on tue the 16th and was scheduled to be here on the 19th,Fed Ex screwed up and it didn’t arrive on the 19th, and with the 20th being a sunday no delivery on sun either, so hopefully it will be here tomorrow on the 21th. That means the rock will have been boxed up for 6 days. My question is, should i accept it or refuse it and request another shipment. How can i tell if it’s ok to accept it, talked to my contact there said it should be alright, but i’m leary,thanks.

Id accept it, but carefully document anything that looks sketchy to you. Take lots of pics, just in case. Any company worth their..salt..will replace product youre unhappy with, especially considering the problems experienced during shipping.

New tank set up?

Are you located where it is excessively hot? If it's a new tank set up, I would accept it. Might actually help speed up the cycling process.

Texas,in the summer yes, now not that hot, thanks for advice.

They should have shipped it with insurance and since the shipper was at fault it wouldn’t hurt to not accept it unless you needed it right now.

For the longest Fed Ex didn’t know where the pkg was, i kept calling and they finally said they didn’t deliver because the pkg was damaged. Got with shipper and he sent a new shipment a week after the orig had been shipped, no fault of shipper. The rock was delivered as promised this time, and was great rock, i can recommend them highly for their product. Gulf Live Rock
