i just got 4 new corals and am wondering if i should parameter acclimate them or just temp acclimate them, i got them from a fragswap. They are a orange octospawn, a mohican sun zoa, a acan, and a gold hammer i won in a raffle. #reefsquad

For all corals, temp acclimate only, then dip. (Dip varies by coral type.)

For fish going into qt, temp acclimate the fish and adjust salinity of the qt to that of incoming water.

For some intertidal species obtained online, straight into a rinse and then into the tank.

For everything else, drip acclimation as indicated, from 1 to 3 hours.

I have been successful with temp acclimation, dip, and light acclimation

I do 3 things...

Corals bought at a store and less than 20-30mins of travel.
Temp acclimate, Dip and Transfer

Corals bought 4-5hrs away.
Temp acclimate, Transfer water 3-4 Times from DT into bag, Dip and Transfer

Corals that come via overnight shipping.
Lighting, Temp acclimation and Drip acclimate for 1-1.5hrs, Dip and Transfer.

All my dips are Coral Rx and now a days Iodine also.
