Currently have a jbj 45, fluval enclosed 6, and a 14 all on my 48” sump. Been having the itch again wanting to add another in my spare bedroom.

NUVO 40 ext will fit just fine on the night stand. (Solid oak)

This one would be my first sps only tank.

NUVO 40 ext (no stand)
Xf330 gyre dual bundle
Ati power module t5 hybrid 24” x 4
Black Hawaiian sand
Stax rock work

Would be plumbed into my existing sump.
Everything in the sump would more than handle adding the extra 40 gallons. Dos is running core 7 other.

Stuff is sitting in the cart. Should I do it?
Any issues with this for a sps setup?

Black sand often has high levels of metal contaminants, particularly nickel and vanadium.
It's also magnetic, hard and sharp; perfect for scratching glass.
If SPS-only, you might want to consider going bare bottom; you can crank up the flow without blowing sand everywhere.
Or put a sheet of black or white Starboard down if you don't want to see through the glass.

I was actually rolling around the idea of bare bottom. Never had one before. My 45 and 6 are black Hawaiian. You drop a vortech it’s a automatic disassembly and clean time.

14 has standard Caribbean in it.

hehe ... i thought it was going to be ... “Should I add a 4th” ... Tang! :p;Dead

45 is all lps and softies
Yellow, purple, tomini, hippo tangs. Flame and coral beauty, ruby red and mandarin.
3 peppermints, 2 cleaners, fire, 3 sexy shrimp. Pair of porcelain crabs, salty light foot, harlequin, Pom Pom, 5-7 emeralds. Whole mess of snails and hermits, gold maxima

6 is all lps frags, pair of domino clowns, cleaner wrasse, watchman goby, 3 emeralds, some snails and hermits, one sexy shrimp and one cleaner. Blue maxima

14 has a gbt, elegance, red mushroom, pair of orange storms, watchman goby, some snails and hermits, peppermint, cleaner, and one Gary (conch)
My storm female has some issues she needs to work out. She host the elegance and sleeps in the corner touching the goby. They are inseparable, unless I get the net out. Male hosts the gbt.
