I’ve haven’t had any problems since I got this guy over a month ago. I noticed that he managed to get his foot into the rock and has now sucked himself inside of the rock and is poking out to different areas of the rock.

So weird how it can get into a home like that

Yeah. They can do all sorts of weird things. Like shrink to the size of a dime and then a second later be as big as a baseball.

Just to let you know, I noticed your tank is still really new. Anemones don't generally do very well in a new tank and it is recommended to wait six months to a year before adding one to your tank. I'm not criticizing, because I did the same thing when I set up my first sw tank and found out the hard way because my nem died. Your bta is beautiful, and I hope he does well. Just be aware that there may be some complications and if he starts getting sick, you may have to re-home him. But I hope you still have him two years from now. :-)

Understood. Friend at LFS send to think I'll be able to handle it. I've had this tank up for almost 5 months. Use RODI water only. Test all water parameters every day at 8am. Using Hannah and salifert tests kits. Did a ton of research on the bta before I purchased and know I have a backup plan to re-home if things get a little out of control. Was concerned getting it early but couldn't pass up. Original plan was to get one at the ten months. He ended up moving out of the rock. Just have to make sure he doesn't take it my Duncan.

And please do not take what I’m saying as me disregarding what you’re saying. I totally agree. Yes I jumped into this kind of early. And hoping that everything turns out correct. My friend did say if he shows any sign of distress that he will put him in his personal tank to hold for me until I can take him back
