What is this?

Many people find that no matter what you do aiptasia comes back. The most surefire way of getting rid of it is to cut the rock under it and throw it out. Then theres nothing left for it to grow back from
I love aptasia X. I had a nice infestation, but I actually think i got ahead of it. Havent seen one in months.

Acan’s can do a hydrogen peroxide/saltwater bath. You could give the Acan a hydro bath and cut the Aiptasia out or up. Let the hydrogen peroxide destroy it. Then put coral in a quarantine tank for a bit.

Just kill it like others have mentioned. I just use Kalk paste but there are many ways to kill them. They are actually very easy to beat. If a tank gets taken over its usually laziness on the reefers part so kill them when you find them and dont wait to see what happens. You wont be happy if you do...

Though all these methods do work (dunno about the hot iron) its best to just cut this one off with a bit of rock. Its not that close to the acan and would be a guaranteed kill. No nub to regrow and wont float off. If the aiptasia was stuck in the middle of like a zoa colony then the paste methods are best

Superglue over it (gel superglue). This is the best method for preventing it from spreading. F-aiptasia works similarly from my understanding
