I have a 40 gallon reef with mostly soft corals, a maxi mini, and a few lps. I tested last night and my results were calcium 390, KH 12, PH 8, phosphate less than 0.25, ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 5ppm. I'm using Fritz RPM. I was advised to use Kent Nano Reef to bring up the calcium by my LFS. But, since it also claims to increase alk, which is already a little high, I wanted a second opinion. Thoughts?

Your values likely reflect what came in with your salt mix. A little more calcium certainly wouldn't hurt, but I'm not sure I'd spend money on a two part yet.

What salt mix and salinity? Raising the salinity might solve the calcium issue.

I'm using Fritz Reef Pro Mix. Salinity is at 1.025.

Boost it to 35 ppt (sg = 1.0264) and calcium will rise by 5.6%, to about 412 ppm, which is fine. :)
