Looks like a barnacle. They usually starve in the tanks because they are planktonic feeders.

If you don't know what it is, then I'd get it out. It looks like some kind of starfish but hard to tell. Be on the safe side. Put it in QT if you think you might want to keep it around until you know for sure what it is.

It came off I removed snail and popped this dude off anyone have an idea of what this thing is???
