As anyone knows who read the qt thread a few days ago I stopped qting fish for a while because I was having such a problem with them dying all the time. I started adding fish straight to my DT in the hopes they would survive, needless to say they didn't so I still have some sort of problem with my tank. I do realize now this was a stupid idea before anyone rips me about the QT, I understand I should still be using it and I plan on it in the future. My other fish are all still fine though and have been for months. My concern is the pearlscale butterfly. He has developed what looks like an extra layer of mucus coating on him or something. I tried taking pictures they just don't come out. His fins look like they have white spots all over them and he fidgets and flares his fins quickly a lot now. This has been going on for a few weeks not just for a couple of days and the other two fish in the tank are showing no signs of the same thing. He still has a ridiculous appetite as always and hasn't shown any color loss. Does this description sound like any kind of illness or am I jut paranoid that I have infected my tank now?? also I know what ich looks like and the spots are not the same size they are smaller, basically only visible on the clear fins, the rest of the body looks like mucus. Any advice, input, or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
