Hello everyone! Big time noob here jus started my first saltwater tank a little over 3 weeks ago and things going good. Jus worried about a specific piece of live rock I have that has these little branch like things around it and dark patches of grey. I read about Aiptasia and was wondering if this is an early sign of it or not? Appreciate all the help thank you. Sorry for pics best I could do with what I had.

To be honest, I would not worry if it is an Aiptasia, that are ways to get rid of them but I think it is too early for that. Maybe someone else will have a different opinion...you are just a few weeks into the setup. A lot of time, messing with them, can make them spread.

Sounds good! Thank you for the advice!

First three photos appear to be some sort of macro algae, the last one is sponges. No aptasia in any of these photos.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease haha. After all the Aiptasia posts and articles I am quite paranoid lol
