I did some maintenance on my water barrel today, basically cleaned it out. But, the hose I have is kind of long so that I can run it into my living room to do water changes. My hose had algea growing inside it I was considering throwing it away and just replace it. Instead...

I put it and the pump in my bathtub,Moran hot water and put a couple of cups of bleach in the water. Let that circulate for awhile, drained the tub, rinsed everything, then refilled it and added hydrogen peroxide to the bath water. I let that circulate thru the pump and hose for awhile. Then drowned the tub, rinsed everything again and filled the tub on last time with just hot water.

Is this hose safe for me to use now?

Should be fine as long as you rinsed the inside well.
The last round was clean bathtub water.... not RODI, so I will pick up some minor silicates. The hose pump and all was submerged and ran for about 20 minutes In hot water. I was going to set it out in the sunlight after, but it’s a rainy day here : (

I would rinse thoroughly with tap water to get rid of the bleach and peroxide. I would rinse with RODI to get the tap water out. That might not be necessary.
This ^
But I'm kinda lazy and would skip the rodi part (not recommending that you do that)

I would have left the algae. it does no harm. Bleach, OTOH, is dangerous to organisms.
Really? t seemed like it was putting “trash“ in both my tank and my barrel... and you say it would do no harm. You are the chemist... I trust what you tell me. Seeing those “chunks” floating in my water seemed like a problem to me... hmmm... no harm. That never occurred to me.

I am/was.. worried about using the bleach. Two cups in 40ish gallons of water seemed to be diluted enough. And then a cup”ish” of the hydrogen peroxide in a fresh batch of water. And then new fresh batch of water to rinse it all out. Should I replace the hose and pump?

I have not use that hose to put water on my DT yet...

The water in my barrel... turned cloudy overnight. There is no aroma of either bleach or hydrogen peroxide... I have my pump running to circulate and aerate it.

Should I dump it all and start over?

Yes as you heat and mix the water the salt will dissolve and the cloudiness will go away. Give it some time. It’s fine

Actually, Red Sea Coral Pro is a very high alk mix thst will precioptiate calcium carbonate, and that will happen faster when you heat it.
So it is just a coincidence that it happened after cleaning my equipment the way I did. This water was perfectly clear when I got done mixing it yesterday and I did not heat it at all. I was about to to turn the heater on this morning when I opened the barrel and to my surprise, I could not see the bottom of the barrel anymore... I could only see about 1/3 of the way into the barrel. I did not turn the heater at all yet. I do have hose in the barrel circulating the water (with no aeration)
