Have a new tank up and running 4 months now. i’be been mainly gettin a brown fizzy type algae on back glass and rocks. CUC can deal with some of it right now, not all.

But over the last few days I’ve noticed some patches of a really green algae on the rocks. Could this potentially take over the rocks? i have a yellow tang and algae blenny. The YG is young, doesnt seem to go after algae all that much right now. i have snails, urchin and crabs too.

Water change 10% a week

Post your water parameters. New tank syndrome, they call that the ugly stage. It will pass with time as tank matures and params correct and stable. Some here with more experience will offer a better explanation.

so I did some tests earlier. The results havent really changed much over the last few months, which is good I suppose, but algae defo increasing.
