Its a smaller tank 20 gal been getting it from a highly trusted lfs when i do water changes. Salinity is a 1.025 currently

Phosphates quite elevated as is calcium
With calcium this high, your alk will be affected
What test kits are you using?
Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet?

Using hanna checkers and its rodi water alk is at a 9.4. Which is down from last weeks check at a 10.3. Also i am not dosing anything just so everyone knows. Phosphates have also lowered from last weeks .57 those are dialing in but calcium is staying high.

I'd ask you LFS what salt brand they are using, and how they are mixing it, and see if they know what their TDS is of the freshwater before the mix. It maybe a trusted LFS but this is info you're going to want.

Have you tested LFS Water?
Yes and it tests out great just did it after I tested my tank wondering if that could be it. Have a filter clean out next week could that help by chance.

Would it be a good idea to test again tomorrow and see if it by chance stabilizes this is a few hours after water change for these results. Also i would mix my own but the water where i am at is horrible I would waste more then anything using a rodi unit. I can ask what unit they are using and mix they are using tomorrow when they open.

yes you can and if still unsure , take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does NOT use API test kits and see what readings they come up with and for comparison with yours

So has anyone had any issues with the hanna test kits i use. The calcium one seems kinda weird with only using such a small amount of tank water.

Hanna asks for 10 at water line. Assure the test Vial is clean or youll get a false reading
