Should I buy and take a chance?

So here is my dilemma... I have a great deal on a 200gal rimless tank but I'm a little skeptical about buying it. Here is a pic of the tank and the chip on the side so I want some opinions whether to buy or not. The tank is $150 btw.

Yeah, if it were me, I’d ALWAYS be worried about it. Wouldn’t be worth it to me. I’d lose sleep.

Yeah I thought the same thing n comparing to online prices brand new it's like 1/4 of the price. Just wanted to get some input if any1 has the same chips on their tanks and if it will hold up or can I fill with something?

Ideally, all used tanks should go for 1/4 of the price. I wouldn’t spend the money on a chipped tank.

Things could get really expensive if the tank failed. I would pass on that

I couldn't imagine putting thousands of dollars worth of corals in fish in that and have to worry about killing them every day and not to mention the cleanup and hassle. That would not be worth it to me. My fish have been with me for too long. They are my babies.

I have the same chip almost in the same spot. Tank been in service for yeeeeears.

Cosmetic only. "Just a mere flesh-wound.. .." Lol

Yes I know and I have til 1PM EST to confirm my purchase. If I can repair it or if it's just cosmetic I'll take it. The tank is still running now and they guy said it's been running for 2yrs.

I buy 2nd or 3rd hand most of the time for our hobby. I was curious.

It’s not worth the risk seriously let it go. Besides you will always be fixated on it and integrity of the glass is compromised and I’ve seen perfectly sound tanks spring leaks
