It says it’s calibrated at the manufacturing plant so would you recommend calibrating it again

It will need to be calibrated again to take into account differences in your specific batch of reagent (that is why a calibration bottle is included with each box of reagents), and smaller things such as the height of your sample intake relative to the trident.

Those of you who have calibrated, how did you clean the sample line before you put it in the sump. The calibration solution is some kind of chemical, right?

It’s just a standard of salt water, I wouldn’t be concerned whatsoever. It doesn’t push water “out” the sample line either, only pull inwards.

You have the answers already Just throwing down that yes, you calibrate it after 3 or more days. It gets checked at the factory before final shipment. However, they include the calibration fluid because every hobbyist keeps their trident in a different location and then home / office / what have you environment is different. So the calibration is to run through a known sample post install and 3 days.

It uses minimal reagents and the bottles factor that in. It is a good idea to do so.
