Trying to use what I have in there should I rearrange it? Can you see a better layout with what I have?

Not much room to do a lot. Personally, I like it. And, I see you've seeded your tank with a piece of live rock from an established tank. Good work!

I've always quarantined.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I think you're asking if you can place your first fish directly in the tank, and then use a quarantine tank for all fish after that.

I don't know, but it just feels wrong putting a new fish in a display tank without QT, even if it is the first fish. That being said, I guess you could, although, I wouldn't.

@Paul B has a thread on running a tank without any QT. If you want to go that way, now is the correct time to do it.

Here is the thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/the-other-way-to-run-a-reef-tank-no-quarantine.534274/

I like it. As for QT, I started without doing it and it wasn’t long till death taught me otherwise. If that tank is as small as I think, and you only plan on a couple of clowns or something, you could try finding healthy specimens from ORA (saltwateraquarium.com sells them). But I’ve been quarantining ever since I lost most of my fish shortly after starting the hobby. I personally use Humblefish’s httm process. It’s work, but it’s always paid off.
