As you can see in the video my sump is filled with GHA. Just wondering if anyone recommends not cleaning it since I have a population of copepods in there as well. (My DT is doing pretty good with minimal amounts of algae)

I would manually remove as much as possible. Then place some large mexican turbos to mow down the rest.

Video doesn’t work on my phone. Are you running a turf scrubber or just lighting your sump. Shouldn’t have algae down there otherwise. Agree to get it out though.

Cant see your video, I would “harvest“ the GHA to keep it to a reasonable amount. This is no different than a fuge with Chato/other algae for nutrient export.

Pull it by hand, dont let any escape. Pods won't eat hair algae but may seek refuge there. I wouldn't worry about losing any pods.
