Soni was looking at the trunk of one of the hammer coral and notice that half of the trunk is missing. The hammer coral looks healthy itself but just concern that maybe one of the fish has been picking at the trunk. Should I just cut the bad bad half and just reglue the rest of the trunk back?

That looks like it is just the skeleton that is all busted up? If that is the case, if it were me, I would re-mount it. Frag it off up higher but below where the flesh is. then you can make sure it is all sealed up on the frag plug and get rid of the bit of eyesore.

You can cut it if you don't like the look of the piece other then that it shouldn't effect the coral. A dremel with a diamond wheel is a good way to cut lps skeleton.
