I bought a piece of live rock with zoas on but it also came with critters. As far as I can tell it has clams, bristle worm, spaghetti worms, snails and copepods on and in it. Should I coral dip or is everything ok. I am new to the hobby my tank is only 2 months old.

You really don't want to dip a rock.....it absorbs the dip. I'd put it in QT and observe.

#reefsquad , what do you think.

Why pay for a living rock when you want to kill the living part? IMO - it is all the critters that make this hobby interesting.

Sincerely Lasse

I'd break the zoas of the rock, with a little rock as possible, dip them, then glue them on frag plugs or disks , or glue them directly to your aquascape. and throw the rock away.

Or if the rock is really nice, just QT it separately and observe and every time you find unwanted critter just remove it.

Why would you throw the rock away? Considering the pressure the oceans and reefs are experiencing, this seems like a waste.

If I can QT it. I will not throw it. But the problem if I have invested in my coral and fish collection I wouldn't risk them by adding a rock that I don't know what will be inside it.
I had few pests before coming with live rock even after QT and Curing, For now I only Add bleached Dry rock.

Another Option is to bleach the rock and let it dry to remove all chlorine from it

I'm of a different mind.

I'm the guy who orders living liverock, direct from the ocean off the Florida Keys and drops it straight into my display. I caught a couple of flatworms, I caught a couple of crabs - and the rest of the stuff on the rock, the diversity of bacteria, pods, mysid shrimp, LPS corals, macro-algaes, sponges, snails, worms . . . has made my tank a far more enjoyable experience, by day or by night.
