Should I Dip this hammer??

It’s been slowly going into its skeleton more and more each day. Been about two weeks now and it looks like this.. seen my cleaner shrimp picking near the skeleton and making nervous he could be munching on it cause it’s on it way out... what to do

Well I went to grab it and about 10 hammer tips fell off like [emoji15] never seen that
