I picked up a Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse recently, and it has been in quarantine for about week now. With the help of another member, I picked up an Exquisite Fairy Wrasse today and added it to the quarantine tank so that they could be treated together, if needed, since they came from the same LFS system.
There has been some quarreling, which includes chasing and a little nipping, but I anticipated a little aggression at first. You can see the behavior in the attached video below.
Should I let them continue to behave this way under supervision for a short time, or should I divide the tank in hope of a smoother acclimation? I go back to work tomorrow, so I want to ensure that I don’t come home to one, or both, harmed.
