My lfs is offering me, what I think is a pretty good deal for my Indo torch coral. I bought the piece a bit more than a year ago for $30. It’s grown into 4 heads and has been doing pretty well!. But the market is up and my lfs wants it. They’re offering me $200 in store credit or an even trade for 1 head of dragon soul torch. Should I trade? I’m just a bit weary because it’s an expensive piece. I wouldn’t cry my eyes out if my $30 torch died. But a $200 dragon soul withering away would hurt! Should I do it?

If your current torch is doing great, what makes you think you’ll do a disservice to a good torch?

Can you frag it at all and do a trade for the Dragon Soul?

All day!!! I love the opportunity for my own tank helping to finance the costs to run it.

Unless that is you just cant part with it.....everyone has their favorite pieces that money just cant buy.

I’m not worried about harming the torch, I’m just wondering if maybe dragon souls are more temperamental maybe?

It’s weird. It has 4 heads but since the base is so small, they’re still connected at the middle and I think it would be risky to cut up

It’s definitely one of my favorites. But I still like the dragon soul more. Lol
