Hi guys!
So i just recently set up a FOWLR tank, I’m only familiar with reef tanks.... so my question is should I be dosing this tank? I’m just concerned about the alkalinity dropping. Will my water changes every two weeks do the job? Of course I’ll be monitoring it, but I wanted to get opinions as well so I’m not blind sided by anything.

Thanks! :)

Well if you only have fish in it and no coral I wouldn't waste my money dosing as the only thing that could use it up is coraline algae. Water changes is all you need

I’d monitor alk and see, but I’d dose calcium and alk if needed to maintain them since you likely want to encourage coralline.

Kale can do the trick nicely!

It is a super food, but I'm not sure its powers extend to alkalinity or calcium in fish tanks :p

Another option is to just bolus dose with a solution of baking soda.

Depending on the size of the tank, you might get away with Reef Crystal salt if you don't want to take the kalk option.
