Hi Reef2Reef reefers , I’m pretty sure my tank is pretty close to where I want it but just want to double check if I should keep lowering my alkalinity slowly or leave it where it’s at.
Here’s my parameters
Alkalinity DKH - 8.4 Calcium - 420
Nitrate - 2.5 Phosphate - .03
Ph - 8.2
From what I understand the lower the nutrients the lower your alkalinity should be so I’ve been dropping my dkh from 10.2 to where it is now at 8.4 over a months time. The way I drop it is with a low strength mix of Kalkwasser in my auto topoff that lets the dkh drop but at a slow rate. So should I let my DKH drop a little more possibility 7 or is it safer to stay where I’m at now?
