One of the two heads broke on the favia and it seems to have pulled apart over night. Should I cut it off and glue the pieces onto a plug? Or is the broken part going to be an issue and pull it?

Or should I just leave it be? Put the piece on some live rock?

If it were me, I would leave it and see what happens.

This is the thing, what fragging tools do you have at hand? I’ve heard of some stories where glueing them back together works but I can’t say I’ve done it myself.

I don't have a bone saw, but have plugs, glue, scalpel, etc.

Happened to me with a blasto. I glued the two skeletons back together and it grew fine until its eventual demise due to external factors--if I remember correctly it got massacred by a decorator crab.
