I have a 37 gallon tall tank. I have 2 clowns, six line and a yellow tail blenny. For corals I have are candy cane corals and Zoas. Would you recommend I get one? I’ve had my tank since August of last year.

Yes! Do it! You’re tank is definitely ready. Also, you’re rock structure looks stable. I don’t think you need to worry about it.

Be warned that they will not stay where you want them, but they will go where they want to be, unless you glue them, but then positioning them into the perfect spot will need a bit of investigation on your part like someone else has already said with regards to your lighting and stable parameters being permanently stable.

I had one walk into the intake of the cannister filter one night and had a shocking mess to clean up the following morning, if you want it for your clowns then they will be just as happy in some fuzzy mushroom corals

Mushroom corals would be a better alternative?

Really need a little more info to actually give a true response. What lights, what’s your flow don’t see any powerheads. How long have your parameters been stable.
I currently have fluval marine light but I will be upgrading them to noopsyche K7V3. There is a power head at the top left of the tank.

its not an apples and oranges comparison

mushrooms are hardy, need less light, can host clowns and usually replicate and spread. Colors/ textures are all across the spectrum and though they are going up in price, can still get some cheap ones. Have also found the fuzzies are strong allilopaths for SPS and need to plan for where they will spread.

Have had anemones whither die in less than 1 year old tanks, need right light, do move around (but usually settle eventually) but they can be gorgeous, provide great movement with the right (required) flow. I love my orange bubble tips in a smaller tank and wouldn't want to be without one

You could always start with the fuzzy on a dedicated rock and see how it goes

By the way have a big green Goni that hosts my clowns in a tank that have anemones and have have them host galaxea (which do not recommend for an early tank phase)

Good lights I use the v2 version I would definitely consider another powerhead they don’t like debris on them either in my experience. Best to get one from another reefer then store knowing they have a healthy tank and natural split also the bigger the better for odds of survival in my experience as well.

Where would I place the other power head?

Opposite side of the tank create turbulence without too much direct flow. Turn off powerheads when you first place the anemone then turn on when it’s attached it will move around until it finds a shot it likes so make sure to have covers for your powerheads until it strays out for at least a month or so

What do you think?
